Are swimming lessons part of my Fitness First gym membership?

You can use the swimming pool facilities as part of your Fitness First membership.  Swimming Nature lessons are available at an additional cost with an exclusive 10% discount for Fitness First members. Speak to a member of the team for more information for how to book.

I’m a complete beginner, are these lessons for me?

Absolutely! Swimming Nature caters for all abilities from people who can’t swim at all up to advanced triathletes. Our friendly and supportive instructors will adapt every lesson to meet your goals and help you progress. 

How will swimming help to improve my fitness?

Swimming is a fantastic cardiovascular sport. It can help you lose weight and is gentle on the joints, too. Check out our blog for more information. 

What level am I?

How many lessons do I need?

This is a difficult question to answer, so we advise booking as many lessons as your budget allows initially and then re-assessing nearer the final lesson. If you are interested in group classes, the minimum booking is an academic term (13 weeks), or whatever is remaining for the term.

Is there a minimum booking?

There is no minimum but there are discounts available for booking a block of lessons. 

What if I can’t make my lesson?

If you have booked a 1:1 lesson, you can reschedule by allowing 48-72 hours notice. Group classes can not be rescheduled.

Do you have female/male-only sessions?

Depending on the venue, this could be a possibility, however because your lesson will take place at a Fitness First gym, there may be others using the pool whilst the lesson is going on.
