For healthy brunch: Plum + Spilt Milk
Plum + Spilt Milk at the Great Northern hotel at King’s Cross cooks up classic brunch dishes with healthy twists. They’ve got surprisingly nutritious options; using wholesome alternative grains and milks, natural sweeteners and superfoods. In their healthy Eggs Royale, they’ve swapped the trusty white muffin for a spelt muffin and have paired it with smoked salmon, steamed spinach and a poached egg. The grand setting of the dining room is ideal for an upmarket Sunday brunch too. If you’re a porridge lover, try their quinoa porridge made with soya milk, blueberries and almonds.

For weekend brunch: Little H
From the creators of Hally’s, Little H is the new hip hangout in Parsons Green for the health crowd. It’s fantastic for fresh, homemade veggie lunches and brunches – and the juices are fantastic. Little H adopts a farm-to-table approach with emphasis on quality, locally sourced ingredients. From vegan bircher breakfast pots and smoked salmon bagels, to fresh juices, smoothies and daily changing salads, Little H’s menu is light, interesting and accessible. Seating only 12, the cosy café will bring the outside inside to create a beautifully fun and relaxed space.

For great produce: Daylesford Organic
Daylesford prides itself on using fresh, seasonal produce straight from its own farm. Gluten-free and healthy brunches are hard to come by but fear not, Daylesford’s menu is full to the brim with both. The restaurant and cafe uses all organic products and the menu largely features veggie options. Don’t panic –organic bacon butties and sausages are also on the menu! Their flax seed bircher makes for a refreshing change from the standard muesli and when it comes topped with a generous portion of stewed fruits, it’s always going to win us over. The grilled kipper with lemon, tomato and parsley plus the heavenly raw chocolate and chia seed pudding and are firm favourites. Pop next door to their organic shop to get your mitts on some tasty treats for re-create at home.
