Halloween isn’t quite as exciting after the age of seven, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it just as much as you did when you were younger. If you’re more terrified of the numbers on the scales than you would be of a zombie ghost costume, then it's certainly time for a change.

If you do need to prepare some Halloween delights for little ones but don’t want to fill them with packaged junk, then prepare a healthy homemade alternative instead. Get creative with fruit and vegetables, and you can make anything seem scarily delicious.

Halloween is a time for mischief and we certainly didn't want to miss out on all of the fun. That’s why over the next 13 days we are sending brave bloggers a daily task that they have to complete. It could be a trick, or it could be a treat, but no one will know what they are getting until that email lands in their inbox.

Each daily challenge will be health and fitness related; it could be a specific exercise that they have to do, or something that they need to cook. We’ve encouraged the bloggers to share their 13 days using #DWTrickOrTreat on Instagram and Twitter as well as on their blogs.

You can change a lot in 13 days, you would be surprised how quickly the small changes add up to make a big difference. This challenge could significantly boost your festive fitness goals and even help you to get into a healthier lifestyle before the New Year begins.

Halloween challenge for bloggers trick day one - burpees.

We wanted to start this challenge off with a bang, so the trick was to do 10 burpees after each meal. Burpees are one of the most effective fat burning exercises, plus you can do them anywhere without any equipment. By doing burpees before eating, you’ll be less likely to overindulge and will get your metabolism revved up.
