Fitness First announces new partnership with Home Nations Athletics

November 17 2017

We are proud to announce a brand new partnership with the four Home Nations (England Athletics, Scottish Athletics, Athletics NI and Welsh Athletics). Fitness First will become the official Home Nations retail and fitness partner, as well as the lead partner for RunTogether (England Athletics), Jog Scotland and Run Wales.

To launch the campaign, we've hosted a Running Week featuring a series of guided runs led by RunTogether and Olympians including Perri Shakes Drayton, Jenny Meadows and Laura Weightman.

Our aim is to offer the products, environments and encouragement that everyone needs to be all kinds of active. The Fitness First mantra of "Whatever your Great is" mirrors the Four Home Nation’s own mission, increasing opportunities for everyone across the UK to experience athletics and reach their full potential.

By working at a local level with the Four Home Nations, the partnership will support the entire athletics family, from professional athletes competing at a national and regional level, to club runners looking for a new personal best or those just starting out.

Lee Pinnington, Director of Marketing at Fitness First, is excited about the potential the collaboration brings: “Partnering with the Four Home Nations was a natural fit for the brand. Fitness First is now the second largest health club operator in the UK and we want to help provide all our members with access to the best in fitness and health, as well as engaging with those who are just looking to move a little bit more.”

Keep an eye out for more Four Nations activities coming to a Fitness First club near you throughout 2017 and 2018. If you aren't a member just yet, Find Your Great with a free three day pass at your local gym.
