From outdoor parks
to callisthenics influencer
For Demetri, movement has always been an art form.
At 14, he discovered calisthenics, a sport few had even heard of, and turned it into a creative outlet. By 17, he was a decorated competitor, winning international titles and being crowned UK Vice National Champion. But more than medals, Demetri built community; founding youth organisations, inspiring thousands, and reshaping how young people engaged with fitness.
When he joined Fitness First Clapham, he found something he’d never experienced in an indoor gym: belonging.
The open floors became his training ground, the studios his stage. Between PTs sharing knowledge, spontaneous sessions with friends, and even rehearsing dance routines, Fitness First gave Demetri freedom to train like an artist and connect with people who shared his passion.
In return, he’s inspired members and trainers to explore calisthenics, creativity, and new ways of moving.
From outdoor parks to callisthenics influencer, and now to a thriving community at Fitness First, Demetri’s story proves that progress is more than performance; it’s connection, creativity, and choosing to show up together again and again.
