Pull-up architect
at Clapham Junction
Emily’s career took a sharp turn from the high-tech world of automotive design to the bustling floor of Fitness First Clapham Junction. Despite 14-hour workdays as a designer, her true passion lay elsewhere, the gym. Seeing the complete turnaround in her own energy and sleep from weight training, she knew where her future lay. She closed her company, and applied to Fitness First, finding an established brand with room for progression.

The Precision Coach
Emily quickly transitioned from Membership Consultant to PT. The sales role taught her skills that proved invaluable for becoming a successful PT - grit, communication, and the ability to inspire. Now the "Technique Police," Emily helps clients achieve milestones that build profound self-belief, like the empowering moment when a client achieved her first unassisted chin-up and even went for a second!
Emily also celebrates the small, but deeply meaningful, wins. She helped client Nick, after months of work, finally touch his toes, conquering a lifelong belief that he was simply inflexible. For Emily, true success is about looking and feeling better, quality sleep, more energy, and everyday tasks becoming easier. She encourages clients to give 100% of their 50% energy on a tough day, because a recovery day is still progress.
"I would say that you don’t need to be fit, you just need a bottle of water and a bit of self-belief! Try to not compare yourself to others, start small with the things you can do, and keep it consistent."
Real progress
When you train with Emily, you learn that progress isn’t about perfection, it’s about self-belief, consistency, and choosing to show up, even when you only have half your battery charged.
