Frequently asked questions about classes at Fitness First

Do I need to book classes in advance?

We’d recommend it. Booking through the Fitness First app helps you lock in your spot, especially for popular classes. It also gives you that little extra nudge to show up. Book on the Fitness First app today

Are classes included in my membership?

The only exception is Reformer Pilates, which has a usage limit depending on your membership. See our class terms for details. 

What should I bring to a class if it is my first time?

Keep it simple:

  • Comfortable workout gear
  • A water bottle
  • A small towel

If you’re heading to yoga or Pilates, you can bring your own mat if you prefer, but we’ve got you covered if not.

How early should I arrive?

Aim for around 10 minutes early. It gives you time to get settled, grab your spot and have a quick chat with the instructor if you need anything. No rushing in at the last second.

What if I can’t make my booked class?

No problem, just cancel your spot in the app as soon as you can. It frees up space for someone else and keeps everything running fairly.

What is Reformer Pilates and how does it work?

Reformer Pilates uses a specialised machine to add resistance and support to your movements. It’s great for building strength and control.
It’s also one of our most popular classes, so just keep in mind it has a usage limit depending on your membership.

I’m new to classes. Where should I start?

Start anywhere that feels manageable. Yoga, Pilates or lower-intensity classes are great entry points. Feel free to ask a member of our Fitness Team in club and they will be able to guide you to the class that suits you.
