From the same class to
the same podium

Georgia and Dan's story didn't start with a training plan. It started in a class.

Georgia joined Fitness First Baker Street through work, her office sits directly above the gym. She'd always been active, playing field hockey since she was seven, but it was the community she found in the HYROX classes that pulled her deeper in. The energy, the motivation, the people showing up every morning. She kept coming back, and gradually, a competitive instinct she already had found a new outlet.

Her first HYROX was a doubles event, easing herself into the course and the format. Then came singles, then a podium finish at London Excel, cutting her time by two and a half minutes in just four weeks of focused training with Dan. Progress that surprised even her.

Dan spotted Georgia's potential early. She was strong, competitive by nature, and utterly consistent. Even when she went away on a ski trip weeks before race day, she was running on holiday and straight back into training the moment she returned. She didn't miss a session, even when she was injured.

At Olympia, they went agonisingly close to a personal best. Second place, by eleven seconds. For Georgia, the response was straightforward: book the next one. She's already signed up for her first pro race.

Their partnership works because it goes beyond the sessions. Early mornings, run club, a shared sense of humour and a genuine enjoyment of the work. Showing up stops feeling like an effort when the environment makes it easy to want to be there.

At Fitness First, progress isn't linear and results don't come from quick fixes. It's about showing up, again and again. Because when you choose progress, you don't just change your body, you change what you believe is possible.
